Press Release | 1/8/2026

A trio of New Richmond High School athletic standouts put pen to paper, finalizing their college choices on Thursday, January 8, 2026.

Meagan Kangus, Harlee Mason, and Riley Davis will all continue their athletic careers at the next level this fall.

Davis will join the track team at Lee University. As a Lady Lion, she has earned first-team all-conference honors each of the last three seasons. Davis has twice earned the SBAAC American Division’s runner of the year award, once as a sophomore and once as a junior.

In 2024, Davis placed 10th in the state at the girls’ track meet, finishing in 5:08.87.

She has also put together a strong cross-country career, racking up four more first-team all-conference nods and another runner of the year honor in 2024. She has also made multiple trips to the state cross-country championship.

Kangus will head to Ohio Northern in the fall. She currently leads the Lady Lions’ bowling team with a 161.4 per game average, good for 11th overall in the conference.

As a junior, Kangus’ 144.6 per-game average was good for 19th in the league. She earned a second-team all-conference nod for her play last season.

Finally, Mason will take to the pitch at the University of Indianapolis in the fall. Mason has earned first-team all-league honors for the last three seasons. As a freshman in 2022, she was named a second-team all-league performer.

A lockdown defender, Mason also contributed offensively. As a senior, she recorded eight goals and four assists for 20 points, leading the team in all three categories. She secured a hat trick and tallied two assists in a 13-3 win over Wilmington in September.
